WPBA Return to Play Update

Hi WPBA members & families,

I hope you are all well.

Based on the information provided by the Victorian Government yesterday afternoon, WPBA is anticipating a return to basketball competitions and programs on the 3rdof November.

To see the updated season schedule, please click here Summer Season Calendar.

We are currently seeking clarity surrounding the vaccination status of all stakeholders however we anticipate players, coaches, referees, parents, staff and spectators aged 16 and over will be required to be double vaccinated to enter the Somerville Recreation Centre and other satellites venues used by WPBA.

Information surrounding patron limits and game day rules and regulations will be promptly communicated when available.

Please note that domestic team registrations will close this Friday the 29th of the October. You will still be able to register past this date however you will need to contact ned@wpba.com to register so you do not miss out. We recognise that it may be difficult to organise your team in this short window therefore teams will be permitted to register to WPBA competitions until the Jan 29th 2022.

To register your team for the upcoming summer domestic season, please click here https://www.playhq.com/basketball-victoria/register/0d10c3

Additionally, registrations for the upcoming VJBL Tryouts will close on the 10th of November. To register yourself or your child for the upcoming VJBL tryouts, please click here. https://www.playhq.com/basketball-victoria/register/6b1dd1 Confirmed times and dates will be communicated shortly.
