Working together to deliver better basketball outcomes

Over the past year Basketball Association’s from Frankston, Mornington, Westernport, Southern Peninsula and Chelsea, have come together to create a working group “Peninsula Basketball”. This working group has met regularly to identify areas where we can work together to deliver better basketball outcomes for our entire community. The working group quickly identified that one of the key priorities was to promote and deliver our basketball inclusion programs collaboratively. We are one and we are here to deliver better services to our community in this important space. This approach will lead to a more diverse range of higher quality programs with more competitions, better funding opportunities and increased participation across our region.

We are extremely excited about what the future holds in this area and whilst it is starting small we are committed to continuing to build and deliver a diverse range of basketball programs and competitions.

What we currently offer:

All Abilities Basketball Program & Competition

Ausome Hoops (ASD Program)

Walking Basketball Competition

Wheelchair Basketball Competition

What’s next up:

LGBQTIA+ Basketball Program • Increased All Abilities Basketball • Aboriginal and Torrres Straight Islander Program
