2025 Steelers Regional Development League

The Western Port Basketball Association have been invited by Basketball Victoria to take part in a “VJBL Pilot Program” called the Regional Development League.

The Regional Development League has been designed as a pathway for those athletes wanting to join the WPBA Junior Representative Steelers program. It will provide these athletes with an opportunity to learn the skills and Steelers VJBL system and then have an opportunity to apply these into a weekly competition.

Facilitated by Basketball Victoria and the VJBL, the Regional Development League competition will be held on Friday nights against other Clubs and Associations regionalised to the South East of Melbourne. This league will run alongside the VJBL Competition:

• 5 Week Grading Process

• 14 Week Regular Season

• 3 Week Finals Period

• $350.00 Registration (4 families who already paid the $50 hold fee will be credited on Invoice)
• Team sheet (game) fees will be extra as per normal competition

There will be a one-off pre-Christmas training session, facilitated by one of our leading coaches, Warren Heigh.
