Western Port Basketball Association – Boys & Girls Coordinators (Honorarium Roles)

Western Port Basketball Association (WPBA) is seeking to appoint two separate honorarium positions to support the ongoing development of its VJBL Steelers program:

• Boys Coordinator

• Girls Coordinator

Western Port Basketball Association is a community-focused association committed to providing strong development pathways for players, coaches, and officials across the Western Port region. Through its VJBL Steelers program, WPBA aims to deliver a positive, inclusive, and development-driven representative environment, with a strong emphasis on coach education, alignment across age groups, and long-term athlete development.

These senior development roles play a key part in supporting coaches, strengthening player pathways, and embedding a consistent WPBA style of play across the junior representative program. The Coordinators work closely with the General Manager, Junior Representative Committee, and VJBL coaches, with a strong focus on mentoring, program alignment, and fostering a positive program culture.

Applicants may apply for either role individually, or indicate their interest in both roles where they believe they have the experience and capacity to fulfil the requirements.

These are honorarium-based positions (not salaried employment). The honorarium will reflect the scope of the role and the successful applicant’s experience and will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
