Western Port Basketball is pleased to be offering our members and those around the peninsula the opportunity to complete two coaching courses run by the team at Basketball Victoria.
We have two course coming up, one for those beginner coaches to complete the community level course and then the step being the Club level course. There is no requirement to complete the community level before the club but it is recommended if you’re a beginner coach. Please see details below including registration links.
Beginning in 2023, coaches will be required to go through coach education training before coaching in any of the leagues run by Basketball Victoria. Upon completing the training, coaches will gain their Basketball Australia coaching accreditation, and will receive a certificate and additional resources to help with their coaching. Community Coaching Course
Sunday February 19th – 4pm to 6pm
Being held at Somerville Recreation Centre @ a cost of $10 per coach.
Club Coaching Course
Sunday February 26th – 12pm to 6pm
Being held at Somerville Recreation Centre @ a cost of $75 per coach.
